چکیده
To understand what was driving individual differences in voting intentions a large German sample, we investigated the predictability of from Big Five personality domains, facets, and nuances, thereby tackling shortcomings previous studies. Using random forest analyses dataset N = 4,286 individuals (46.01% men), separate models were trained to predict 1) not vote versus vote, 2) for specific party, 3) left- right-from-the-center party either or nuances (represented by items). Except balanced accuracies marginally exceeded those achieved baseline learner always predicting majority class. over facets domains slightly increased accuracies. Results indicate that additional variables should be considered accurately intentions, at least samples.

Age differences in personality traits from 10 to 65: Big Five domains and facets in a large cross-sectional sample.
Hypotheses about mean-level age differences in the Big Five personality domains, as well as 10 more specific facet traits within those domains, were tested in a very large cross-sectional sample (N = 1,267,218) of children, adolescents, and adults (ages 10-65) assessed over the World Wide Web. The results supported several conclusions. First, late childhood and adolescence were key periods. Acr...
متن کاملPersonality and prejudice: from Big Five personality factors to facets.
Extending our previous research on personality and prejudice, we tested the predictive power of Big Five facet compared with factor scores in three studies. Study 1 (N=170) examined the predictive power of factors and facets when explaining generalized prejudice, a composite of four prejudice types. Study 2 (N=158) focused on sexism and Study 3 (N=80) examined the impact of personality and expe...
متن کاملBetween facets and domains: 10 aspects of the Big Five.
Factor analyses of 75 facet scales from 2 major Big Five inventories, in the Eugene-Springfield community sample (N=481), produced a 2-factor solution for the 15 facets in each domain. These findings indicate the existence of 2 distinct (but correlated) aspects within each of the Big Five, representing an intermediate level of personality structure between facets and domains. The authors charac...
متن کاملA very brief measure of the Big-Five personality domains
When time is limited, researchers may be faced with the choice of using an extremely brief measure of the Big-Five personality dimensions or using no measure at all. To meet the need for a very brief measure, 5 and 10-item inventories were developed and evaluated. Although somewhat inferior to standard multi-item instruments, the instruments reached adequate levels in terms of: (a) convergence ...
متن کاملUsing the California Psychological Inventory to assess the Big Five personality domains: A hierarchical approach
The present research developed a new, multi-step approach for hierarchically assessing the Big Five personality domains from a large and diverse pool of existing questionnaire items: those of the California Psychological Inventory (CPI). First, the Abridged Big Five Circumplex (AB5C) structural model was used to organize the CPI item pool in Big Five factor space. Using the 10 resulting CPI-AB5...
